AARAS Education COVID Safety Plan

AARAS Education has developed this COVID Safety Plan in compliance with the health guidelines of the NSW Government and specific requirements from the schools and facilities we operate in. This plan does not apply to our online workshops.


Parents and visitors are required to read and follow these guidelines. Parents are encouraged to discuss these guidelines with their child/children attending our programs. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in the cancellation of enrolment and reporting of the breach to appropriate authorities.

AARAS Education will:

  • Provide Hand Sanitisers
  • Encourage students to wash their hands or use hand sanitisers prior to the workshop
  • Wipe shared equipment with alcohol wipes prior to the workshops
  • Limit the sharing of the equipment as practically possible
  • Wipe high-touch classroom surfaces and equipment at the end of the workshops
  • Report breaches as appropriate.

AARAS Education Team Member Expectations

  • Team members will stay home if sick or feeling unwell
  • Team members are encouraged and expected to be fully vaccinated if they are attending face to face workshops
  • Use of face masks should be in line with the public health orders at the time, but generally recommended
  • Social distancing should be in line with the public health orders at the time, but it is recommended that all team members keep 1.5 meters apart from other adults
  • Team members are required to wash their hands prior to the workshops
  • Maintain respiratory hygiene:
    • Covering your cough or sneeze by coughing or sneezing into your elbow or tissue and disposing of the tissue immediately
    • Always wash your hands after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose.

Student Expectations

  • Students are encouraged to be vaccinated as per the government guidelines to attend our face to face workshops
  • Students are encouraged to wash their hands or use hand sanitisers at the start of the workshops
  • Students are required to stay at home if unwell
  • Any students with flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to attend our workshops. Parents will be called if their child displays any cough or flu-like symptoms to collect their child immediately
  • Students should not bring or use their own equipment
  • Maintain respiratory hygiene
    • Covering your cough or sneeze by coughing or sneezing into your elbow or tissue and disposing of the tissue immediately.
    • Always wash your hands after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose
  • Any student displaying inappropriate behavior in regards to the health and safety guidelines will be asked to be collected by their parents.

Parents Expectations

  • When dropping and collecting your child, we expect the parents to abide by social distancing and health guidelines provided by the school and the government. See specific instructions for each School/facility below
  • Maintain respiratory hygiene
    • Covering your cough or sneeze by coughing or sneezing into your elbow or tissue and disposing of the tissue immediately.
    • Always wash your hands after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose
  • Check for any further updates provided by us, the School, or the authorities.

Contact Free Sign Out Process / Contact Tracing

  • Parents will be provided with a QR code for their child via email. Please ensure you add hello@welovestem.com.au email address to your address book.
  • Please contact us via email if you have not received the QR code.
  • Parents must produce this QR code at the time of collecting the child/children for our team to scan and capture the sign out electronically.
  • We will also ask for the parents’ first name and a phone number for contact tracing purposes.

School/Facility Student Collection Instructions

Greystanes Public School

  • Parents are not permitted to enter the classroom and must wait in the open area in front of the classroom to collect their child.
  • Our team will bring the students to the parents/guardian.

Westmead (Domain Community Centre)

  • Parents are not permitted to enter the facility and must wait outside the gates to pick up their child while maintaining social distance.
  • Out team will bring students to the gate at the conclusion of the workshop.

Girraween Public School

  • Parents are not permitted to enter the classroom or come to the classroom to collect their child.
  • Parents must wait under the COLA near library while maintaining social distance.  Our team will bring students to the COLA at the conclusion of the workshop.
  • Any students going to the after-school care will be dropped by our team.

Blacktown South Public School

  • Parents should only come to the nominated classroom to collect their child 5 minutes prior to the end of the workshop and maintain social distance from other parents.

Darcy Road Public School

  • Parents are not permitted to enter the classroom and must wait in the open area in front of the classroom to collect their child.
  • Our team will bring the students to the parents/guardian.
  • Any students going to the after-school care will be dropped by our team.

St Mary’s Rydalmere

  • Parents are not permitted to enter the classroom or come to the classroom to collect their child.
  • Parents must wait near the school gate outside the school office. Our team will bring students to the gate at the conclusion of the workshop.
  • Any students going to the after-school care will be dropped by our team or the Principal.

Carlingford Public School

  • Parents are not permitted to enter the library and must wait in the open area in front of the library to collect their child. Please maintain social distancing while waiting.
  • Our team will bring the students to the parents/guardian.
  • Any students going to the after-school care will be dropped by our team.

INCASE OF SCHOOL / Facility Closure

In case of closure of the school or facility due to a Covid-19 case/outbreak, AARAS Education will switch to online classes. An email will be sent out to parents with the online workshop links.
