Award Ceremony – Engineer Your Path

Engineer Your Path STEM Competition Award Ceremony: A Celebration of Innovation and Creativity

On the afternoon of December 14, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting the Engineer Your Path STEM Competition award ceremony, a memorable and inspiring event held at the Parramatta Library. This year’s ceremony, in partnership with Snowy Hydro, celebrated the remarkable talent and creativity of students who participated in the competition, which focused on the theme of sculpture and monuments along the Sculpture Trail.

The event brought together young engineers and innovators who had worked hard to bring their ideas to life through various projects. Students from different age groups showcased their creativity and engineering skills in three key categories:

  • Kindergarten to Year 2
  • Year 2 to Year 6
  • High School

The range of projects on display was truly impressive. From LEGO models to Scratch programming projects and intricate 3D models, each student brought a unique perspective and innovative approach to their designs. These projects explored everything from architectural monuments to futuristic sculptures, reflecting the students’ understanding of engineering, design, and sustainability.

The backdrop of the Sculpture Trail was the perfect setting for this celebration, as it beautifully highlighted the intersection of art and engineering. As students, families, and teachers gathered to admire the projects, the sculptures themselves seemed to mirror the ingenuity of the students’ work, making the event even more special.

A special thank you goes to Snowy Hydro for their continued partnership and support. Their commitment to empowering the next generation of engineers is invaluable, and their involvement in this competition helps inspire young minds to pursue careers in STEM.

The ceremony itself was filled with pride and excitement as the winners were announced in each category. Students were recognized not just for their technical achievements but also for their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Each winner had the opportunity to showcase their project and explain their design process, further highlighting the impressive skills they developed throughout the competition.

We are incredibly proud of all the students who participated in the Engineer Your Path STEM Competition. This event is more than just an award ceremony—it’s a celebration of imagination, innovation, and the future of STEM. It’s a reminder of how important it is to nurture curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills in young people, as they are the innovators, engineers, and leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, including our wonderful partners at Snowy Hydro, the teachers, families, and, of course, the talented students themselves. We look forward to seeing how these young innovators continue to engineer their path and make a lasting impact on the world.
